Some quick shots at the mall today. Impromptu stop to find a last minute emergency prom dress for my sis. It was supposed to be delivered today but damn that international shipping time. Anyways, this is what i end up looking like when given just a few minutes to to crawl out of bed and get ready. meanwhile, I recently decided to make sure to always bring my camera with me. seems like something i should have already been doing or something that ive probably already said but thats the new the plan. Ive missed some pretty blog-able moments and shall do so no more so canon came along for the ride.

oh and also i have finally purchased my first mac and have yet to figure out all the functions. these photos are completely unedited so they are just a tad dark. ill fix them once i figure this crap out. its confusing and totally disorienting but saying goodbye to viruses makes it totally worth it. still updating the blog so forgive me if anything looks out of wack. im on it.

how do you guys like he new layout? still got some work to do but it will be alot more organized label wise soon. as i sorta cryptically said in my last post i am now back to black hair and im just peachy. feel like my old noir red lipstick wearing broody self again. its been awhile, as usual, since i blogged so i didnt go all out outfit wise. figured i better ween myself in. so behold my go-to look; grungy rocker boy. pulled on e of the vintage tees i been dying to wear for a effortless comfort.

simple. somehow still sexy. me.

ok so lets start with how amazingly annoying it was to edit these pics. blame it on me for not grabbing the lint roller on an all black outfit especially for jeans with such a magnetic personality, everything wants to stick to them. it took forever to retouch all the white dots off my pants. literally hours. 

moving on, im in love with how these pics turned out. ive got a new attitude for clothes this year and im feeling fly and chic again. think im gonna leave my bohemian mood alone unless the feeling strikes me. even then, it will be done a bit more glamorously. still grunge, still rock just a little bit tweaked for simplicity. this year im liking sheers, blacks and nudes, a lil rope chain here and there and lots of leather. a mixture of all my styles just cleaner i guess. but do still expect some tye dye. im a hippie forever. think UNIF meets the haute pursuit.

ok lets talk about this jacket for a second. spent 2 very long, very cold months living in a hoodie because i couldnt find the perfect jacket. Cut to me at forever 21, its 2013 and theres a huge jacket sale. BAM. snagged this puppy for 10 bucks. seriously doesnt get better than that. i ended up with 6 plus some for my sisters. bargain shopping at its best. the tweed body with leather sleeves? What? totally didnt expect to see this kind of handywork at f21. there were so many still left clearly people missed out. it just encapsulates my mood for the year. As well as the bag and fitted which i also got there. me and snapbacks havent been friends since the 6th grade, ie 1990 something. never thought id wer one again. how times have changed. shoes on sale at UO. you can always count on them for that. and freaking awesome blouse at buffalo exchange. got it a size small a few months ago and many workouts later, voila. besides the fact that ive spent the better part of 3 months being hurt on leave from work (if you follow my twitter you already know the deal) there are soo many positive things happening already that despite my ailments  this year is starting off pretty good. new lint shop updates and perhaps a video blog coming soon. im stuck at home. might as well right?

Girl, put your make-up on........

Don't usually do beauty posts.

But given my newly revived obsession for makeup, I figured I'd share a post before bed.

Lately ive been completely unsatisfied with my makeup regimens' below par performance of melting off my face before ive had my pre noon snack. I thought i was doing a pretty good with my minimalist approach of cherry chapstick, bronzer, blush, a winged eye and mascara. Figured if my clothes and hair looked good the choices above would suffice. How naive. My recent blog pics say otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I've never been a paint my face on type of girl. I tend to like natural looking bronze skin with a slight blushing glow and moist lips. I like to focus on flawless skin and sultry winged eyes.

After spending all night watching beauty blogs on YouTube (oh that evil hypnotic invention) and memorizing every list that Allure magazine can come up with, as well as requests from friends asking for my secret (Janee this is for you girl) I realized its time for an upgrade. Still aiming for the same general look but with better precision and better quality products.

Im on the fence with some of these but here's where I'm at right now:

1. Cover girl lipstick in delish (great nude for girls with medium, olive or tan skin but also love Nars in tzigane)

2. Cover girl lipslicks in demure (I apply this first then add a swipe of the delish for a enhanced natural lip color. Also love the lipslicks in clear as a base for lipsticks in general or alone)

3. Clinique up-lighting illuminator in bronze (just ordered Benefits Watts up because its sheer n best for above my cheek and brow bones for that dewy look (ill let u know how that goes) because cliniques' is too dark but for now i love the texture of this. looks great as a liquid blush or dab on where the light hits for a bronzed glow)

4. Sephora bronzer in los cabos (this is kinda light for me so I have to build but it's nice n matte with no shimmer which is key. Use all over or just as blush or contour)

5. Maybelline BB cream in medium + medium deep ( completely obsessed with this stuff. A welcome change from simple bronzer. With this I can go without everything else sometimes [except eyebrows but that's another post] I use medium as an eye concealer and medium/deep on my face as base. Gonna switch to garnier in medium deep for my eyes tho. I find its less stingy on my eyes and its thinner and covers well. I have yet to find a good eye concealer that doesn't cake or settle in so this is it for now)

6. Elf complexion brush and small angled brush ( for $1-$3 a brush u can't beat the quality. Gonna buy the others brushes tomorrow available at target)

7. Sephora waterproof smoky cream eyeliner in cafe and must have (graduated from Rimmel smoky liner to these. So far so good. I apply with the angled brush and it stays in place ALL DAY. Just move fast cause it drys quick. Practice makes perfect)

8. Maybelline eyeshadow in nutmeg ( I use this alone with just mascara on natural days or above my crease/lid as contrast for my winged eye days)

9. Covergirl blush in pretty peach ( the pic is the CG blush in brick rose which is a tad ashy on my tan skin but I wear pretty peach or rock n rose as my everyday color. Still not 100% happy. Gonna try maybelline dream bounce in fresh pink next)

10. Sephora smoothing primer ( got it as a sample in a kit I bought but have no use for it now since I started using the bb cream. However it does stop shine n fills in pores nicely. Going for the revlon photo ready primer n foundation next)

* Products I forgot: CG Lash blast mascara for every day, Maybelline full n soft for soft volume, loreal voluminous million lashes for color depth, volume and length, bare minerals mineral veil for setting the whole look, Sephora Collection perfecting cover concealer in tan for redness and small blemishes and cant live without my new Anatasia brow wiz pencil in medium ash and her brow gel. Life changing for real.

Phew that was brutal. All that middle finger typing with my ipad is gonna be the death of me. So that's my first beauty haul. Sorry I have no pic to show for my results since this was a spontaneous post. But will def do it next time if there is a next. Back in high school I was the make up queen so it's been fun to get excited about it again and take a (albeit small) break from buying clothes and shoes and instead spend all my paycheck on new beauty products to try. Been giving a lot of thought to starting video blogs for beauty and ootd posts but again I'm still on the fence. Hope u liked this. If so let me know by commenting. Looking at these photos from 2 weeks ago the term 'finding nemo' comes to mind. Although here in chilly philly we didnt get hit as bad as some places, These remind me how its still beyond freaking cold. 

Wearing my new spiked Llitas for the first time since coping them from nasty gal on sale. but i must say now that ive worn them im already over it. Maybe its the thought of all the chicks traipsing around in them or maybe im just that fickle. Whatever the case, ive decided to sell them. Gonna start a my closet section so you guys can benefit from all my indecisive vacillations.

 At a lost for words for this post. Not much to say except maybe that i love this shirt, belt and bag. It was super windy that day and my skirt was ill-timed. Would've had more full body and actual tshirt shots except for my skirt had this whole static cling thing going on and my hair was bent on concealing my tee all thanks to the wind. Think that about sums it up.
